Why your help matters

Before a new app can be released to everyone on Google Play, Google asks for at least 12 testers who stay opted in for 14 days in a row. Staying in and opening the app now and then is what helps most.

How it works

Four steps, a few minutes.

Everything happens on Google's sites, with your Google account. Nothing to fill in here.

    Join the testers group

    One Google Group for all my apps in testing. Sign in with the Google account you use on Google Play, then tap "Join group".

    Opt in to the test

    Open the app's testing page on Google Play with the same account and tap "Become a tester".

    Install from Google Play

    Once you're in, the app's Google Play page opens for you: install it as usual. It can take a few minutes to show up.

    Tell me what you think

    A bug, an idea, something that annoyed you: send it through the feedback form. Every message is read.

Unlike MemoLock and Staticar, Superalloy shows ads: only optional rewarded ads (a chest offering gold or lives during a game, or doubled ingots at the end of a level), never banners or interstitials. To serve them it embeds the Google Mobile Ads SDK: when the game starts on Android, it asks Google's consent platform for your consent information, initialises the SDK and loads one rewarded ad: these steps reach Google's servers even if you never watch an ad. No sign-up form on this site

Joining a test doesn't go through this website: you join on Google Groups and Google Play, with your Google account, under Google's privacy policy. sideapp.dev doesn't ask for your email address to sign you up.

In the testers group, the member list and the conversations are visible to its managers only: other testers don't see your address. As managers, we use the members' addresses only to run the tests.

The feedback form of step 4 is this website's own: it keeps your message, and your email address only if you choose to give it, as described in the website privacy policy.
